Maria Akinpelu

Meet Maria Akinpelu, a learning and development supervisor from Lagos, Lagos. Maria knows just how important her role is, so that all of her schools can get the best out of their pupils.

One of the things that Maria does to help her schools is to observe lessons. She sits at the back of classrooms and makes notes on how well teachers are teaching the lesson content, as well as how motivated pupils appear to be.

At the end of lessons, Maria always gives constructive feedback to teachers. “Even if lessons aren’t great, it’s always important to keep teachers’ morale high. This way, they’ll be able to make a better impact on pupils’ results,” she concludes.
